The evidence paper with Notable Roottrees is the best place to start. Pay attention to the yellow stars on the tree, because they are associated with that list. You should be able to place all of them (except one, but it should be clear which one when you look them up) just from doing research into them on your computer.
If you need specific hints after that I'd recommend coming to the discord from the menu link. People there are happy to help!
Yes, if you open the settings menu while on the main menu there's an option in the upper right to reset the game. You have to hover over it for a bit, I didn't want people to use it accidentally.
if you don't mind me asking, are you compensated for the Steam version? This is a tremendous amount of work and I don't want someone to guilt you out of it just because you used AI art in the free version.
Although another developer created the Steam version from scratch, I helped with design and feedback during a handoff period (which means the Steam version contains a lot of content that is new to it)
As part of the deal we came to an agreement at the time that both of us are still very happy with.
Thank you for answering! I feel much better about buying and recommending the Steam version now.
While we're on the topic of permissions, I'm planning a conference talk doing some design analysis of the game (among others). However, you might want to talk about it yourself, in which case I can work with you. Let me know if you're interested.
I'm not sure! It depends on what the conference is and I'd have to do. If you'd like for me to answer any questions, I can. I recommend you get in touch with me via the discord link in the game. Myself and Evil Trout are both in there.
Surprisingly, the middle sister's name wasn't on the drop-down menu. So, I couldn't even finish the first level unfortunately. I'm playing the game on the browser.
Nice!! I've been working on the game's tasks since your reply yesterday. I feel like it is a comprehension game, but the theme is quite intriguing.
I don't like that the words are too small. I wish there is a magnifying glass in the game, or the text size could be adjusted.
Edit: Finished the game! It was very enjoyable. I'm glad we have this meaningful ending. We need more games like this! I really liked the storytelling.
I've been playing for hours now, slowly unraveling the mysteries of the Roottree dynasty. This is absolutely brilliant! I think they're the most twisted game family I've encountered since the insanity of Rusty Lake, and I'm addicted.
Edit: I just finished! The storyline was expertly developed, the gameplay was challenging, and the ending was eminently satisfying. I'd love to see more like this!

It didn't save my progress after hours of playing :(( I was so invested!!!
I'm sorry. One thing you could try would be to switch browsers. If the game isn't saving, its unable to write to your cookies for some reason.
I'm stuck after finding Gwyneth, carl, Brenna, and Elias can someone tell be what to look up next?

is there a way you can restart the game from the start
