Hark! Gather round, and I'll tell you a story!
Of darkness and danger, and tactical glory!
With their friends taken, to dungeons most deep,
Amadan sprung to defense with a leap!
They weren't a fighter, they needed a boost,
The witch in the forest, a potion produced.
With a hesitant gulp, they held out their arm,
And injected the liquid known as Harm Charm!


About Harm Charm:

Amadan is on a quest to the ends of the darkest dungeon, to rescue the ones that they love.  To help them on their quest, they've hexed themselves with the Harm Charm, a dark curse that feeds on pain to imbue them with powerful magics. When their HP drops they gain mana, and vice versa. The deeper they continue, the more ways they will learn to wield this power against their enemies.

But this curse comes with a heavy cost: If Amadan tries to draw upon the dark magic when they have not yet suffered enough, the darkness will instead feed upon the very fabric of their life force itself. (Luckily, between each fight they will find time to rest and recover)

Harm Charm is a game about thinking ahead and managing resources turn by turn.  Created for GGJ2022, we chose to use the two iconic stats in most classic RPGs (health and mana) as our duality. Because the game might take you a while, we have included a password system. The password to return to each level can be found on the Adjourn & Return menu.
