The Roottrees are (finally) Dead!

The Roottrees are Dead is a puzzle game based around correctly assembling a family tree. I started work on it back in January 2023, for the Global Game Jam. At the time, I knew my ambitions were beyond the scope of the jam so I got a prototype working with the basic features during the weekend, and decided that I would finish the rest of game in the next few months. I originally expected the game would be done by March. Now, 11 months later, I am proud to finally call it release-ready. It's not perfect, but I am extremely proud of what I've managed to accomplish and I hope you enjoy it. 

The game is heavily inspired by Return of the Obra Dinn and Her Story, two fantastic games that if you haven't played, I'd highly recommend. 

Due to The Roottrees are Dead's reliance on AI-Generated art, I am releasing it for free. If you end up enjoying it, please share it with others who you might think would also enjoy it.
