Announcement: The Incident at Galley House is our next game!
I'll do my best to keep this short!
The Roottrees are Dead started as a personal project, posted here to itchio for free. At some point, Evil Trout, another developer reached out to me through discord and mentioned he thought it should be a full, paid project. He and I collaborated to make that happen, with me doing design work and writing extra content, and him handling coding and building the game itself.
The remake turned out incredible, and with how much fun we had making it we decided we wanted to work together again. When it came time to figure out what to work on next a lot of ideas swirled around, but almost as if by fate, another free mystery game was coming onto the scene. It was also posted to itchio and even cited Roottrees as an inspiration. It's called TYPE HELP. Evil Trout and I both played it and enjoyed it quite a lot, and it gave us the idea. What if we did the same thing for Type Help that we did for Roottrees?
Type Help can be seen here: https://william-rous.itch.io/type-help
So we reached out to William Rous, Type Help's creator, and luckily he was on board as well. So now, we're proud to announce The Incident at Galley House. Just like the Roottrees remake, this one will have new art (Henning Ludvigsen is returning) and an entirely new interface and presentation including full voice acting. Also just like the remake there will be new story and puzzle content (though the amount of which is still up in the air so I can't reveal any details).
I'd really appreciate you taking the time to check out our teaser trailer, and if you have a steam account, to wishlist it:
